John Milius's jingoistic course and pulpy screenplay fit perfectly into this film type of the Robert E. Howard fantasy story of the sword and sorcery hero, Conan the Barbarian. The storyline begins when a horde of rampaging warriors massacre the parents of youthful Conan and enslave the young child for years in the Wheel of soreness. Due to the fact survivor that is sole of childhood massacre, Conan is released from slavery and taught the ancient arts of battling. Changing himself into a killing machine, Conan moves into the wilderness to seek vengeance on Thulsa Doom (James Earl Jones), the person responsible for killing his family. When you look at the wilderness, Conan occupies using the thieves Valeria (Sandahl Bergman) and Subotai (Gerry Lopez). The team comes upon King Osric (Max Von Sydow), who would like the trio of warriors to simply help rescue their girl who has accompanied Doom into the mountains.
